English What beach supplies do we provide at the house?
– 8 beach towels
– 6 boogie boards
– 8 beach chairs
– 1 beach wagon
– 1 cooler
– 1 beach umbrella
These are provided and maintained as standard items for our guests. We appreciate it if you could clean and put them back so our next guest will enjoy them. Other beach amenities we could not provide due to liability of hard to maintenance.
In case you find any beach gear at the house (we have many fins, inflatable toys), please feel free to use them and if it is no longer workable, please feel free to discard them. We recommend renting other beach amenities from Boss frog in Koloa, Poipu, and Nukumoi store which is right at the Poipu beach. You can also check out at Walmart, they carry some water shoes at an affordable price. I would recommend getting one.
What amenities at home?
- Hair dryer in every bathroom
- Kitchen: Drip Mr. Coffee, Pepper/Salt, a crock pot, a rice cooker
- Iron/Iron board
Amenities for young children?
- We have 2 playpens, 2 high chairs, and a booster at the house. These items are in the bedroom’s closet or in the garage. If you need this item, please let me know. When you arrive at the house, please review the safety for your child/children (the pool’s gate, pool’s fence, lock, lanai’s fence)

When you call making the reservation at these two rentals above, please mention that you are the Bird of Paradise / Hawaiian Hibiscus / or Orchid house’s guest. They can deliver baby gear to the house on the arrival date and take them back after you depart.

Where is the grocery store?
Costco and Walmart are the best stores we would recommend you to shop especially at the arrival date/ beginning of your stay. These stores are within 5 minutes drive from the Lihue (LIH) airport.
Big Save and Sueoka stores are ~ 2 miles from home. These are good groceries to shop with the smaller quantities or a quick stop.
Poipu shopping village and The Shops at Kukui‘ula are ~ 1 mile from home. There are many restaurants, ice cream/shave ice, Longs Drugs, gift shops, and small grocery stores.
What type of coffee maker at home?
We have a simple Mr. Coffee maker (dripped coffee maker). We also provide coffee filters. We have been thinking of Krups coffee maker but for environmental reason, Krups will create many plastic pods to fill our Kekaha landfill (Westside of Kauai).
